The Art Deco style emerged in the 1920s, during the World Fair in Paris, France. The style is exemplified through geometric and symmetrical patterns, such as the symmetry seen here with the sapphires and diamond.
Art Deco’s influence can be seen in more than just jewellery - the Chrysler building is an iconic piece of Art Deco history in New York City. Here in Singapore, we see Art Deco in buildings like Parkview Square and Capitol Theatre.
