Gold Bead Double Necklace

Vintage gold bead double necklace, c. 1980-90s, 925 sterling silver & 14K yellow gold, width 5.9mm, necklace length 39.8cm.

This piece is a personal favourite of the brand - the gold pieces are shaped like a Hakka delicacy, Suan Pan Zi (yam abacus seeds), which the founder and his extended family would gather to prepare together every Chinese New Year. His grandmother, the matriarch of the family, would oversee the process from the mashing of the yams to the frying of the moulding out of each abacus seed.
